Description
VERY RARE ANTIQUEGOLD CIRCLE FIGURINE
FLOPSY, MOPSY, COTTONTAIL RABBITS
LIGHT TO NORMAL AGE CRAZING NOTICED
THE CIRCLE STAMP IS BLURRY AS WHEN IT WAS APPLIED IT HIT THE LIP OF THE BASE
AND CURLED DOWN CAUSING IT TO SMUDGE
THERE IS A PRODUCTION DIVET AT THE BACK UNDERNEATH THE BOTTOM OF THE BASE THAT WAS PAINTED AND GLAZED OVER AND NOT NOTICED ON DISPLAY IN MY OPINION
BP1A GOLD CIRCLE
ISSUED ONLY BETWEEN 1948 & 1952 UNDER THIS SPECIAL HAND STAMP
CRAZING IS CAUSED BY THE CERAMICS CONTRACTING AND EXPANDING OVER THE YEARS WHILE THE GLAZE THEY WERE DIPPED IN REMAINS CONSTANT SO IT HAS TO GIVE AND THAT LEAVES TINY FISSURES
NO CHIPS, NO CRACKS, NO REPAIRS UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED AFTER CHARACTER NAME ABOVE
NO COPYRIGHT DATE SHOWN AND THE WORDS BESWICK & ENGLAND IN A CIRCLE SHAPE SIGNIFIES
A BP1A BACK STAMP
IT IS CALLED A GOLD STAMP AS THE INK USED WAS OFTEN GOLD
AND CAME OUT LOOKING TWO TONED
SOMETIMES BROWN OR BLACK WITH A GOLD HIGHLIGHT WHEN HELD TO LIGHT
ONLY ISSUED 1948 - 1952
BESWICK ENGLAND
